Frequently asked
questions

01

Q. What is the process for ordering a custom cake or topper?

Ordering is easy! Simply get in touch and tell us all about your ideas. We'll chat about your design, the number of servings you need, your event date, and what's possible. Once we've worked through the details, we'll provide you with a quote. To secure your booking, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. We'll keep you updated along the way, and once your order is complete, we'll arrange a convenient time for collection.

02

Q. Are your cakes allergen friendly (gluten free, nut free, egg free, etc.)?

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that our products are free from allergens. As a small home-based business, all of our cakes and treats are prepared in the same kitchen where ingredients such as gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, and other allergens are used. Because of this, we cannot guarantee there is no risk of cross-contamination and are unable to cater for severe allergies.

03

Q. How should I store my cake?

For the best flavour and freshness, keep your cake in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. If the weather is particularly warm, refrigeration may be necessary. If your cake has been refrigerated, we recommend taking it out 1–2 hours before serving to allow it to come to room temperature, as this gives the cake the best flavour and texture.

Fondant-covered cakes and toppers should not be stored in an airtight container in the fridge unless necessary, as condensation can affect the finish. If you have any questions about storing your specific cake, we're always happy to help.

04

Q. What's the best way to cut my cake?

Every cake comes with a handy cutting guide for you, so you'll know exactly how to get the most servings from it. Following the guide helps ensure everyone gets a slice and reduces waste.

05

q. Do you deliver?

At this stage, we don't offer delivery. All orders are collected from our home-based kitchen. We'll arrange a collection time with you that's convenient for everyone.

06

Q. What are your opening hours for cake collection?

One of the benefits of being a home-based business is that we're able to be flexible with collection times. We'll work with you to arrange a pickup time that suits both you and us.

07

Q. How much notice do you need?

The more notice, the better! We only take on a limited number of orders each week to ensure every cake receives the time and care it deserves, so our calendar can fill up quickly.

As a guide:

  • Fondant toppers: 3+ days' notice

  • Single-tier round or square cakes: 7+ days' notice

  • Multi-tier or carved cakes: 10+ days' notice

If your celebration is coming up sooner, don't hesitate to get in touch. If we have availability, we'll always do our best to help.

08

Q. How much do your cakes and toppers cost?

Because every cake is custom designed, prices vary depending on the size, design, and level of detail. Once you've shared your ideas, we'll provide you with a personalised quote with no obligation.
